Christie and Tolfrey families I am seeking your help with the possibility of finding when my families left Ceylon for England I have a Tolfrey Will made 'at Colombo in the Island of Ceylon this 8th day of March 1809 - S Tolfrey' prior to the Tolfrey family leaving Ceylon in 1809. The Will states "being about to embark for England with my dearest wife and my son Frederic. My Will is that if we should all die or be drowned on the voyage...." The daughter of Samuel and Mary Tolfrey -[?Elizabeth] Mary Isabella Tolfrey had married Dr Thomas Christie in Ceylon in 1804 and Thomas and Mary Isabella with their three sons are reported to have left for England on the same ship.
