I have the "Ceylon Calendar" of 1815 (a directory-cum-civil/military list) which shows a 1st Lieut C.W. Roberts, 2nd Ceylon Regt, seniority of (ie., date of promotion to 1st Lieut) 17 March 1811. I also have the 1925 directory, in which I can find no mention of him.
