I have found a subsequent reference from the 1815 Calendar. In amongst the section of military out-stations is listed Mahagampattoo (which I believe is an extremely tiny place in the S/E of the island) - Commandant: Major D. McDonald, 19th (1st York Riding) Regiment - District Staff Officer: Captain (local rank) C.W. Roberts, 2nd Ceylon Regiment Glen Hodgins, Ottawa, Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glen Hodgins" <glen.hodgins@sympatico.ca> To: <SRILANKA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2006 8:00 AM Subject: Re: [SRILANKA] ROBERTS 2nd Ceylon Regiment >I have the "Ceylon Calendar" of 1815 (a directory-cum-civil/military list) >which shows a 1st Lieut C.W.
