    3. Dear Glen Thanks very much for your mails: Captain Roberts was buried in Tangalle in 1816, which explains his absence in the 1825 directory. I have had some amazing pointers this week from people with the J. Penry Lewis "Tombstones and monuments in Ceylon book", in case you are also personally interested. I have the whole family of six daughters and son, and his wife's details - all in one fell swoop! A great leap forward.
