    3. I remember a C.E.Belleth who taught me at Royal College, Colombo 7 during the period 1959-66. He was a teacher at Royal for a very long time since he also taught my Dad during the period 1925-1932. He was also the Master in Charge of the Hostel during the period 1959-66. His son leon Belleth was an English announcer at Radio Ceylon. I have a picture, taken in 1959, of the man (C E Belleth) seated (in jacket and tie) with the hostel boys in the center on the left of the lady who is his wife. His son Leon is seated on the same row on the extreme left of the pic. Belleth, Ceylon Police (1950s) Friends/Colleagues: I'm looking for any help in learning more about R.R. Belleth, a sergeant in the Ceylon Police in the 1950s. I've checked out the meagre resources I have, (a few post-war Ferguson's Directories) and all I've been able to find is a "B. Belleth", listed as a retired member of the Ceylon Civil Service, (and most probably a distinguished one, since he is also listed as having been awarded the Imperial Service Order). Perhaps "B." is the father (or uncle?) of the chappie I'm interested in -- "R.R." ? Am I correct in assuming Belleth is a Burger name? Any thoughts or leads greatly appreciated.
