These two armorial descriptions are as written in "Geslacht en Wapenkunde" which are on the shelves in the Dutch Genealogy Library in The Hague. It may be of use to the list if someone could give a translation into English for us. Parti: au 1....a la demi-aigle... mouv. du parti au 2. coupe: a... a trois trefles... 2 et 1. b a trois crampons, deux passe en saut. et un pose en fasce.br. sur le point d'intersection des deux crampons Leembruggen. De .... a un homme hab... coiffe d'un chapeau tenant une epee haute monte sur un cheval...pass. sur un pont maconne de trois arches s'elevant d'une riviere. There is also a book called " Armorial General" by J B Rietstap, which has the Leembruggen coat of arms as described in it. The picture shows a horse and rider crossing a bridge or viaduct with water depicted. The rider is moving right to left and has a hat on, his sword is held upright. The book has thousands of small black and white shield designs, and should be available through local libraries around the world. There are 16 entries for J B Rietstap publications in the LDS library catalogue, but only a few have been filmed. Just type Rietstap as the keyword in the LDS library search engine, and up they come. We only copied the Leembruggen and Anderson pages at The Hague. There are Dutch Ceylon armorial descriptions of a few families in "Tombstones and Monuments in Ceylon" By J P Lewis. LDS Film 795967 item 7 "Lapidarium Zeylanicum" by Ludovici. LDS film 1057505, has hand drawn sketches of some armourial carvings on tombstones in Ceylon. We have seen a couple of tourist websites with photos of tombs with armourial carvings from Sri Lanka too. Cheers.
