William Small was my wife's grandfather. He was an architect in Colombo in the 1930s, and designed the Times Building. I believe his Arcitectural practice was called 'Adam & Small'. He was killed in a car accident in 1935 (I think). Can anyone please advise how I might go about getting some more information about his life and death? Would there be a death certificate available, as they are in the UK? If so what is the method of getting a copy. Would there have been a coroner's inquest, and if so might there still be a report available? Are there any Architectural magazines etc that might have included articles about his work? Can anybody recommend any avenue of enquiry that might lead to more information, please? I realise it's a lot to ask, but I would be extremely grateful for any help anyone might offer.
