Coreen&Larry, I don't know how you fathom the mysteries of these films for Sri Lanka. Thank you for remembering my early request. I see you say they are the Marriage Banns you will be looking at...Thank you for this.... I had no idea that St Philip Neri's church was Roman Catholic but that follows because, family lore says that after Archibald Campbell retired from teaching at Royal College Colombo, he took up a post as a teacher at the Catholic College Colombo..I have not been able to identify the name of that college, despite lots of research. My interest in this marriage, apart from it being for a family member, is to identify the occupation of the Groom's father after he left Australia in 1861 to go to Ceylon. I have no other way of finding out... Is there also some record of an Actual Marriage Certificate for Sri Lankan marriages. I had given up all hope of ever finding a copy of this marriage Certificate. The searches I have made of films, I was just paddling in the water, not knowing where I was going or how to get there...It was just utterly confusing for me Thank you such a lot... Will you be doing printouts?. I am happy to reimburse you for the costs of hiring the film, and printout including postage. Thanks a lot Gay ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry & Coreen Andresen" <larry@qldnet.com.au> To: <srilanka@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, May 07, 2007 11:16 AM Subject: [SRILANKA] Campbell research etc > Gay and list, will be looking at films again tomorrow night.
