I am also looking for this same family, and can’t find them before they came to Canada. Have you had any luck? Sandie King
I do not know of any of my Spragues who went to Canada. I have not traced them beyond about 1800 in Ohio. Not sure that Sprague is actually our family name because my great grandfather, Joseph Sprague, hinted that he might have been adopted by Seth Sprague and Margaret Clark. Joseph was born in Ohio about 1825. We have not been able to find information on "our" Seth Sprague before 1800. He may have been from New York and there are a number of Seth Spragues from New York. Are your Spragues that are from Ohio from northern Ohio? My gggfather Charles Nash married Louisa Sprague. I don't have any info on them except my ggfather named them as his parents and he lived in Lucas county. I have looked at the Sprague database. The problem with our Seth is we do not know where or when he was born or where he is buried. Nothing we have ever found about him in Ohio indicates that information or even names of parents or siblings. He is a mystery. So far, I have no Nash or Louisa Sprague. Good luck to you in your search.
