>From The Republic of Columbus, IN (on-line) ----- June Sprague, 87, of North Cherry Street, died at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. June worked for the City of Columbus as a meter maid and was a retired beautician. She attended the Ohio Street Wesleyan Church. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jason Baker officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Born in Columbus, June 5, 1923, Mrs. Sprague was the daughter of Haywood and Edna Grinstead Blair. She married Elwood M. Sprague November 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1987. Survivors include grandchildren, Aaron (Misty) Sprague of Shelbyville and Joey (Don) Cober of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Anthony Sprague; a daughter-in-law, Linda Sprague Hodson of Shelbyville; and half-sisters, Martha (Jerry) Short of Georgia and Dorothy Moore of Detroit, MI. Mrs. Sprague was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ronald Elwood Sprague; a brother, Edward Blair and sisters, Betty McElfresh and Elsie Perry.
