A U.S. Army veteran and decorated former Cincinnati police officer, he is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert R. Sprague. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Teague) Sprague; children, James Sprague, David and Julie (Knueve) Sprague, and Dustin and Laura (Sprague) Mann; four grandchildren, Rose, Vivian, Caleb and Philip Sprague; mother, Doris (Klosterman) Sprague; sister, Joyce (Sprague) Grandstaff; brothers Robert and Scott Sprague. Tom retired as a stationary engineer with Rohm and Haas chemical plant in Reading, OH. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Minges Funeral Home, 10385 New Haven Road, Harrison, OH from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 24. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, OH, Tuesday, October 25 at 10 a.m. with Father Donald McCarthy officiating.
