We believe that Marian Sprague born about 1770 married Jacob Hogoboam. He went to Canada and built a home for his family and they were to join him. The family were crossing Lake Champlain in 1810 during the winter,(to get to the Quebec border) when the sleigh pulled by a team of horses went thru the ice. Marian and possibly two of her small children drowned. One of the survivers was Elizabeth Jane Hogoboam (born in New York about 1800) who married Solomon Liscomb and they lived in Ontario A David Sprague was named as Marian's father.
