Arthur was the son of Henry Thomas Sprague and Caroline Ann "Carrie" Sprague. The family was from Pennsylvania, but Arthur resided in Elgin and Portland, OR and then California. He married to Esther Sommerville and had at least 4 known children Elizabeth, Mary, Robert and Arthur Sprague. Francis is the line I come from and can not find his parents at all. I know he came over on the Anne from England but not sure if that is his birth place. Edward Sprague is from a different line of Sprgues. He had three sons and at one time spelled there name Spragg. His parents also are not known but think he may have came to England from Holland and you may want to research there. According to the Valentine Sprague Bible his father may have been Moses Spragg, but agin this is not for sure. There were four different Edwards in the town of Hempstead. I ordered the book Sprague Families In America 1913. It has been really helpful on the Francis lineage. It was put together by Warren Vincent Sprague M.D. I hope this will help you some as I am in a standstill with my quest also.
