Hello Norma, For you and everyone else who needs information on searching the postings. Go here. <A HREF="http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl"> RootsWeb Mailing Lists -- Interactive Search</A> At the first screen type in SPENCE-BLUFORD or whatever list you want to search. the 2nd screen asks you for a search word. If you want for instance every message that listed Burwell, just type in Burwell. This search will work on any mail list, even if you don't belong. That's how I do most of my researching. Say I want to see if the Puckett list has any Spences, I go to the Puckett list, and do a search on Spence, or Rebecca, or Carroll, or Hillsville or Grayson, or whatever I think will bring me what I'm looking for. This way you don't have to belong to a list, you can just monitor it, as many do our group. Jim, thank you for the surprise ! It was pictures of the Old Stone Church in Augusta Co. VA !
