    1. THE GA SPENCES
    2. Cousins, We are growing by leaps and bounds on this list. I wish I had good news to report on the GA line, but must admit, I'm still confused. I do agree that the GA line is related to the Bluford line. That much we all know. Let's re-examine James Spence's Revolutionary years. Those of you in the GA line will have to undertake this research because my plate is full. We only know of 3 sons, born ca. 1772, 1774, 1776. James was born in ca. 1748, so assuming he married around 20 years old, this would have been in 1768. You could expect a child born ca. 1769, and 1770. I don't have the dates of James' enlistment handy, but let's assume that there were no children born during his tour of duty. Although he had a leave or two, didn't he ? After leaving the service in what years could a child be expected ? Keep in mind Jane Bluford Spence's age .... This should open up some possibilities. Those with the Moses, Issac and Joshua lines, let us know the birthdates as near as can be known of those 3. Do they fit ? Regarding William Spence who showed up in Hickman Co. TN around 1800, was he definitely from Burke Co. GA ??? Carolyn
