Spence, Andrew F., Co. C, 58th VA. Inf. b 1827 NY, age 33, living Lone Pine PO, Bedford County. In 4th VA. Inf., Spence, James F. Co. F, John W, Co. A, Jonathan Co. A. Joseph Spence, Co. H 4th VA. captured at Gettysburg Nov.1,1864, exchanged at Ft. Delaware and returned to the regiment 18 Dec. 1864. The 4th VA. seems to have been recruited from differant counties, including Rockbridge and Montgomery. Very little information was in these files. Spence, H B., inlisted Co. I of 21st VA.
