Too, I noticed the surname Freeman, and Bette is researching that also. Freeman, the ones I have came in with my Stoneman line. Quakers from NJ to NC to Grayson/Carroll area. Lesters, try Patrick County VA and Henry Co VA When researching Carroll Co VA, also check Floyd Co. VA and Surry & Alleghany Co of NC. They were all so intermarried, it's not too darn hard to find them ! :)) Carolyn --part0_916455089_boundary Content-ID: <0_916455089@inet_out.mail.aol.com.2> Content-type: message/rfc822 Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit Content-disposition: inline From: JSR91952@aol.com Return-path: <JSR91952@aol.com> To: SPENCETOP@aol.com Subject: Re: Chart, Photographs, and Webpages Date: Fri, 15 Jan 1999 21:45:19 EST Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit Carolyn, Thank you so much for the chart. It really is a big help. I have all my info in WFT but I think I'll put it down like you have done yours. It's much easier to refer to. I joined the Carroll County Genealogy Club and received my first Newsletter today. I think it's great. I really appreciate all your help and look forward to all the daily e-mails. Everyday is a new find and leads me off in a different direction. Could you please tell me what counties in NC I should be searching? I am not familiar enough with the names to know which ones are close to VA and specifically Carroll County. I am trying to find the Pagans, Freemans, Lesters and Burnetts. They are not in Carroll County in any census' I've searched (at least none that I can link to the ones I'm looking for) so I'm trying all the surrounding areas. Do you have any suggestions of other avenues I can take? Again, thanks for all your help! Jan --part0_916455089_boundary--
