To: Marc & Alana- I guess you're referring to the photo I sent to Carolyn of John & Emma Spence. Obviously I have a scanner, and even though I'm not a spence, I receive the posts because my Brother-in-law, is Larry Spence, and he's from Pittsylvania Co., Va. and has no connection to tthe internet at this time but thru me. I have done a lot of scanning of stuff for him, and I could scan all of your material ( don't deluge me and want it all zip zap) for a nominal fee, and get it to you via diskette or email. If you have a LOT of photos to be scanned, I will just scan them for 50 cents each. If you have a lot and want them cleaned up ( scratches removed, etc) then I can also do that for you, for an extra 5o cents per photo, unless it's a eally bad one, and then it will take more effort and I would charge accordingly. That photo I had sent Carolyn, for example, was cleaned up, scratches removed, etc. I can get rid of tear markings, old tape marks, etc. I am an artist, and generally do portraits in pastel, and I have restored many an old photo for people just so I could get an idea of how to accurately paint their portraits. I recently restored and then painted, from a photo 90 years old, a couple that was the only picture they had of their Great-Grandsparents. I am not trying to drum up any business for myself, I just wanted to respond to you and let you know what I could do.
