Hi Folks, I wish to thank those of you who have contacted me direct with your support of my airing of my nasty opinion regarding conducting "out of State" research. At least now I know I'm not alone. For this reason along we need to search out "family" who live in areas such as Southhampton; Carroll; Tazewell; Augusta; Counties of VA, and in Surry Co., NC and the other sites of early SPENCEs and encourage them to hit the Courthouses to gather the misc. documents relating to the lines we are researching. Items like Property Deed Records, some Marriage Records, & Court Order records are most of the time easy to find...books have "indexes" all you need to know is the time frames. Over the many years of conducting research I've discovered fantastic data hidden within simple Deed Records ...items that would truly surprise you. These documents, once obtained, should be sent to a central location (person) so that those in need of such records for a certain Spence Line can tap that source for what is available.
