Hi Folks....yes I'm still here. For those who might have an interest in the ANDERSON Line (William Spence m.1792 Augusta Co.VA. - Polly Anderson) ....I'm still working on it! Thus far...no success to an actual bloodline connection. There were two sets of related Anderson Lines which pioneered the Augusta Co., VA. area. I've been able to research and collect quite a bit of data on "these early Andersons" but as stated...still no actual connection ...yet. I'm also still working on the early PALMER line as well as the TUTTLE line.... (William Spence m.1818 Jane Tuttle ...Jane d/o: Abner Tuttle & Martha Palmer)... I've gathered only tid-bit data on the Palmer & Tuttle lines...they're so far back it's getting difficult...but I'm working on them too! I realize that most of you are sticking strickly to the Spence Line, which is good but these other lines (Anderson; Palmer; & Tuttle) are also part of Bloodline...thus they're important too. To help pin-point the Spence Line in Augusta Co., VA. we need to focus upon the area known as....FT. DEFIANCE ....the area where the Rev. William Wilson married William Spence (s/o: James & Jane (Bluford) Spence) on 26 May 1792 to his bride- Polly Anderson at the Augusta Stone Meeting House. I can't find any "Spences" in the early records for Augusta Co., VA. ...but they were there...just can't find more positive proof. ANYONE with Property Deed Records for Augusta Co., VA., before 1800 ...please share with me any Spence Deed info!!!!! ( Hi Carolyn...still working on the Thomas Spence of NC also...not much to say yet.) Later...seen very little activity here on the list...wake up out there!!!!!!!!! Jim James F.
