He then married Caroline Phillips 5/27/1880. They all are buried in Davis County, Iowa We think Jonathan had two older brothers: Moses Spence b. about 1795 in Bath Co. Kentucky Aaron Spence b. 1803 we think in Tennessee and one younger brother: Thomas Spence, b. 1814, in Owingsville, Bath Co.
