    3. Hi folks, Just got a "hunch" hopefully somebody will be able to help check out. JAMES SPENCE 1748-1793 m.: "Jane Bluford" d/o ????????? James Spence served briefly under a Col. Abraham Buford (Bluford?) during part of his Rev. War service time. Is it possible that he could have married Abraham's daughter???? Those who have resource material for SW VA. ...please spot-check your data for this ABRAHAM BUFORD....any data on him please share it with me. Carolyn......will you be able to get me a copy of the book: "The Man Who Moved Mountains" by Richard C. David??? Locations...I've identified most all the locations that ancestor James Spence 1748-1793 was at during his Rev. War service period except: "MIDDLEBROOK"...which I'm sure is somewhere in Virginia.....Help me find it! ( Camp Middlebrook) Based upon his records I'd guess that due to illnesses he suffered during the Rev. War is what lead James to an early death after the war. I'm slowly piecing together his war time activity...besides being a "foot" soldier (infantry) he also joined in with a little cannon shooting activity....bang...that's all for now. Later.....
