    2. Mildred Jordan Speakes PARIS- Mildred Jordan Speakes, 88, Woodmont Drive, professional seamstress, widow of William T. Speakes, died Sat., Mar. 11, 2006, at her residence. She was born Nov. 8, 1917 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Innes and Loulia McIntyre Jordan. Mildred was a graduate of Paris High School, an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Bluegrass Garden Club, and the Lynnwood Homemakers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancye and Dr. Forrest Fightmaster, Paris, Kaye and David Edwards, Lynchburg, VA; four grandchildren, Sarah Fightmaster, Megan Fightmaster, Kent Edwards, Shelley Edwards; special friend, Norma Adair; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Tues., Mar. 14, at the First Christian Church by Rev. Jeff Bell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Kent Edwards, James Jordan, Stoner Parsons, Terry Wilson, Gordon Wilson, Burl Lovell, James Lovell, and Bob Wilson. The Seekers Sunday school class and the Tinder Harris Circle will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Mon., Mar. 13, at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the programs of youth and children at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Hospice of the Bluegrass.
