Amen to that. My German Hipp and Scottish Copeland ancestors of South Carolina did not go off to war. It was in the back yard. in both Civil War and Revolutionary War. It was a matter for survival and you would not fight for the Union if all your kin was surrounded by southerners and you wanted to see them again. Charles Wyly
