    1. TREATY OF DANCING RABBIT CREEK AND SAMUEL AND LEWIS HOWELL
    2. Ruth Stout
    3. I have a copy from NARA of the land acquisition by my ancestor Samuel Howell in Union County Arkansas. He received this land by surrender of a Choctaw Indian Certificate pertaining to the Treat of Dancing Rabbit Creek. The Indian who is surrendering the land is Ah Lo Mo Tubbe. Today I was looking at Mississippi land records on the BLM site and found that Samuel's brother also received land - but in MS - by this same treaty. The Indian who surrendered land is his case is listed as E Lu Nah Tubbe. In the Land Patent document it states, "...an act making appropriations for the current and contingent expenses of the Indian Affairs Department and for fulfilling treat stipulations with the various Indian tribes for the fiscal year 1 July 1845 and ending 30 June 1846." Also, "...joint resolution.....to adjudiate the claims of the Su-quak-natch-ah and other clans of Choctaw Indians, whose case were left undetermined by the Commissioners for the want of Township Maps." Does anyone know about this treaty? What states were covered? Any info will be appreciated.
