Bart, I was just re-reading your letter to the mailing list and noticed that your GG grandmother's maiden name was Tunnell! My 3rd Great Grandmother was MARY H. TUNNELL or TINNELL. She was born 25 Dec 1809 in TN, probably Middle Tennessee. She married JAMES A. VAUGHAN and they migrated from TN to Missouri to AR. They did come into Texas around 1849, but were back in AR by 1850-51, probably because of the illness of a family member. Other associated names with the VAUGHAN family connected to my MARY TUNNELL at that time were JOSEPH and JANE VAUGHAN RICHARDSON, M. M. and SARAH "SALLIE" VAUGHAN BRASHEAR(S), ISAAC & RUTHA (maiden name unknown) CARTER, ARCHIBALD HUBBARD and JANE CARTER NAPIER, ARCHIBALD DODSON NAPIER and MELISSA ELIZABETH VAUGHAN. I know this is a long shot, but the TUNNELL name is not that common. Do you know anything about your GG Grandmother's ancestry? Barbara
