Hi. I am new to the list and am trying to track down my grandmother's identity. Word in the family is that she traveled from Texas to Arkansas "in a covered wagon" as a young child ... somewhere between 1878 and 1882. I am trying to figure out where to start looking in the census for her, so I need to map out a route of where she might have been for the 1880 census. Does anyone know if there was a particular route which someone driving a wagon would have taken in those days? They ended up in Perry Co, Arkansas, which is just a little west of Little Rock and north of Hot Springs. I don't know where they started out. Thanks for any info you can provide.
