Ok, I,m here in SC---(where all this controversy began anew a few years ago)We still have patriots--aka"Maurice"--and many others.Come to SC,and ride around and see just how many flags of the Ole former nation of Lee,and Davis--are flying now--But,alas--we all know about prejidice--and all those other Good words--How many of the black race have really asked themselves where they would be,if the explorers,and colonists (that built this nations foundation) had not brought their ancestors across the ocean(regardless of surcumstances) "Please pardon the misspelling of an ole southern boy"---But I see so many trails leading from this list--and noone seems to want to express personal feelings?Why' Well?Could it be the general state of mind of us all as a whole these days--and how many of you are enjoying the vertues of the music of our times--My mom and dad raked me about rock n roll (which was my fortee)opps,did it agin--well just goes ta show that none of us are perfect---,in the 50s,motown in the 60s,and advanced rock in the 70s--where will we go from here???todays rap,hip hop,etc---??I (as an ole hippee,even can,y even imagine)--but I cherish my past ancestors as much as the next,and don,t desire to have them trampled upon---and their culture either---I am a song writer for 30yrs now,but can,t sell anything,because???I wish to say-- in mild terms,my feelings,w/out cutting across the grain of our cultural foundations,and ,lo,as the democrats,say,lets not hurt anyones feelings--those days seem to be gone,that you can say anything,w/out doing even more damage----wish that I had some stories from the past of my ancestors to share,but I have lost the will to search for my roots any deeper-------
