This mailing list has already been a great source of information for me, so I'm hoping that you can help me again. I try to track the movement of Dr. John Pryor Allison (1832-82) from AL or MS to Texas. He was born in Mooresville, AL in 1832. He served as a surgeon in a Mississippi regiment in the Confederate Army from 1860-61 and was discharged in Mississippi. By 1876 he was practicing medicine in Brownwood, TX. I can't fill in the missing years. His wife (Mary Waters Clive) was from Ohio and it appears that she was there during the war as one of their children was born in Ohio during that time. Dr. Allison may have gone from MS to Ohio to TX. At any rate, I'd be very grateful for any info that helps me fill in the missing years.
