    1. Bart's future
    2. Laurel Burns
    3. Hi Bart, Boy, you surely generated a lot of interest. I guess that's one of the reasons why a lot of us are on this list though --- to see what migration was like. Thank you for all the effort that's gone into typing the people mentioned, etc. Are you going to put it on a genweb site? I know it seems big, but there are many big files that have been split into several pieces. I'm sure lots of people not on this list would love to see it. Of course, with all this interest, you could probably publish it and retire in luxury. You could buy a riverboat and go up and down the route. You could do that for a family reunion and sell the manuscript to raise funds. I'll go even though I didn't recognize any names on the index. If you send it out as a word file to a batch of people, I'd love to read it. My e-mail -- [email protected] Thank you very much. Laurel -----Original Message----- >

    1. Benjamin Cannon Journal
    2. Bart Cannon
    3. Hi, I'm delighted that there is interest in Benjamin Cannon's trip journal. My ultimate plan is to convert the journal and supplement to a PDF document which can be downloaded easily, images and all. Considering that I don't even own Adobe Acrobat nor have the image layouts done yet, I would predict that 6 months is the earliest it might be ready. In the meantime, I will be happy to send the text as a 400K Word 7.0 attachment to an e-mail. The full document has maps and images which require some fancy copying and is about 60 pages long. I could send that to anyone who wants it right now for $5.00 (includes shipping). Shown below is an index of people mentioned in the journal. Short family history sketches of some are included. It does not include the names of those mentioned in my family history section supplement. 3. Bart, I was just re-reading your letter to the mailing list and noticed that your GG grandmother's maiden name was Tunnell! My 3rd Great Grandmother was MARY H. TUNNELL or TINNELL. She was born 25 Dec 1809 in TN, probably Middle Tennessee. She married JAMES A. VAUGHAN and they migrated from TN to Missouri to AR. They did come into Texas around 1849, but were back in AR by 1850-51, probably because of the illness of a family member. Other associated names with the VAUGHAN family connected to my MARY TUNNELL at that time were JOSEPH and JANE VAUGHAN RICHARDSON, M. M. and SARAH "SALLIE" VAUGHAN BRASHEAR(S), ISAAC & RUTHA (maiden name unknown) CARTER, ARCHIBALD HUBBARD and JANE CARTER NAPIER, ARCHIBALD DODSON NAPIER and MELISSA ELIZABETH VAUGHAN. I know this is a long shot, but the TUNNELL name is not that common. Do you know anything about your GG Grandmother's ancestry? Barbara
