    3. Trying to get info on Roderick Bigelow (, owned 350 slaves,) 1810 census, Warren County, N.C. Where was plantation? slave registers? etc. Roderick Bigelow married Elizabeth Pattillo (who had 3 kids), Warren Co. 1811. I believe Elizabeth Pattillo-Bigelow moved to Craven County after Roderick's death in 1814 with her 3 kids, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary. What happened to slaves left to Elizabeth and her kids? From the census information I've gathered for Warren County, NC, I know that Roderick Bigelow owned 350 slaves in 1810. Roderick was Born - 1756 - Died -1814 . Roderick Bigelow was the stepfather to Thomas Pattillo and left his slaves to him in 1814. I'm trying to back into figuring out on what plantation the slaves might have been located. Thomas Pattillo also known as Thomas BIgelow fathered 12 children by Betsey Bigelow, Cherokee, slave. He named them all children by Betsey "Bigelows." I can't find any record of them(12 children) before the 1880 Caswell County, NC census (they are all grown up/adulthood in 1880) and I know that weren't "free persons" as I've checked all the lists and all the census from 1800 onward. (Caswell County, NC). In addition, Betsey Bigelow opened an account for all 12 of the Bigelow (adults) at the Freedman Bank (bank for "blacks") in 1871. If there is any guidance you can provide, I'd be most appreciative. VJ
