Paul Revere used his girlfriend's undy-wear to silence the oar locks on the boat he was rowing when he was on his way to warn about the British invasion. Apparently he had to row close or under a British ship. The oar locks were too squeaky so he asked his homegirl for something he could use as a silencer. She tossed out a pair of her drawers. The rest is history. Another interesting little tidbit about that night...... it was an extremely bright night and our guys needed to be hidden.
