Belle....thank you for the encouragement.... the repercussions were great and scarey!! and the threats etc. were the icing on the cake for us (on that island) and we moved. We were sinking fast anyway - the move was inevitable, just prodded along by this situation. As far as the other, my take on it is like this: God did not create the world in the state which it is in now. Man brought evil into the world by selfishly choosing his own way apart from God's ways (Adam / Eve). God's desire was for man to love Him - but by man's choice not by God's forcing man to do so. Otherwise we'd just be robots of a sort and that was not God's purpose. Now all of us live with the consequences of choosing sin (then and now). Our rebellion (Adam/Eve, me, you, all humans) has brought an infinite amount of evil and suffering into the world. God tells us that at an "appointed time" He will end suffering. And don't forget that God has opposers - the world is (right now) in the power of Satan/Devil/the Wicked One. I believe God is/has taken steps to defeat Satan (the ruler of earth at the moment) and to bring in His own Kingdom - Jesus was sent to us and set up a pattern for us to follow..... but do we? The world is still in chaos (children suffering etc.) because of Satan and us (we don't follow Jesus). God's plan is in motion and until His return it is up to us (me, you, everyone) to do what we can to ease the suffering and pain. Yes, those little girls did suffer but just think of what might have happened had I not been a Christian and if I had turned my back on them!! Paulett and Bell amd all, I needed to hear a good sermon today... It inspired me a lot... Paulett I believe you done the right thing even though people turn on you... I respect people who know what they stand for and are not afraid to say so... when i was a kid i had wished some one had stood up for my sister and i.... My grandma was mean-she use to say she was going to put us in an orphan home-I did`nt know what that was but I thought Oh! Boy! were gonna get away from here...never happened.. I stood for my neice when she got pregnet and her mom found out it was black...Her mom tried to make her abort it-she did`nt want to.. I showed her scriptures and fought till I lost every so-called friend I had-But I`m happy! My neice has three beautiful biracial girls-talented in singing in churches-art-straight a`s... There grandparents still hate them but they don`t know it... There momma bought a house in a section that`s mixed so they will know all races.... Paulette, I take it that you have moved from the island. I hope the new place will prove to be ssatisfactory and you will have no problems with stupid neighbors. I have moved around a lot and have come in contact with some real screw balls but nothing that resulted in injury or real harm to anyone, guess I was lucky. As for the big water, I can appreciate your liking for it but I have also had a deep fear of it. For many, many years, I lived in Southern California, just minutes away from the beachs and ocean. I seldom went down, usally if I had out of state visitors who hadn't seen the ocean and beachs. Ive been along the Atlantic coast,from North Carolina on down to Miami and to the Gulf of Mexico , from St. Petersburg to the Texas cuast. The Pacific fro San Diego up to Canada. Some beautiful spots along the way.
