Bobby I read here where somebody has been wondering where everybody is, I been reading a little every couple weeks or so, just to keep up on whats going on. I don't seem to have time to slow down. I have been in KY with my sweet thang (working a little on her house), staying a lot through the winter, only coming back to AR to pay bills around the first of every month. We went down to Gatlinburg the last of March to her daughters wedding and enjoyed the traffic for three days, can't believe its that bad that early. It was a nice trip though, we're thinking about doing it again next year or in the fall in the RV, if she will ever retire. I got a question, I make good bisquick biscuits but my scratch biscuits with enriched flour are tough. With self-rising flour they ain't much better. I did cut in crisco instead of margarine in one batch and they were edible but greasy. If I use buttermilk instead of sweet, I add a 1/2 tsp Soda. Against my friends advise, I am about to use some rendered grease from the sausage skillet to see if thats better (of course she is from NY and never eat biscuits for breakfast before, but I still love her) she says pork now has got lots of bad stuff in it, but couldn't be worse than melted plastic veggie oil.
