Hello Emma, Ladonna, Mary Clyde and All.. I have had a problem for years in my genealogy.. My gg-grandpa name was James Newton Penley minister M.E.U.S. ... 1831-1893 Scott and Lee Co., Va. Does any of you`z know what this means... A lot of our family diowned him and I`m thinking it was his religion... It was brought over from the old country and I believe it connected with The Old Methodist-not todays. .. I would like to know what they believed in, in order for family not to accept them.. I have a picture of him with a large beard and no mustash, wearing black hat and suit.. Maby yu`ens are educated enough to have herd of this religion or know how to find it.. I can`t seem to do it! Hi LaDonna, Last year people around here, SC, were paying $4.00 and $4.50 per dozen for corn. The drought kept me from making any. I planted two rows and got 4 ears. I don't know whether I'll plant any this year or not. Guess I could plow up another spot just for that and pray that God would bless my corn patch this year!!!
