There was an article in our newspaper this morning that talked about the food issue, also. Anything made with wheat will go up in price. Of course we knew anything made with corn will go up since farmers will be putting their production into the ethanol products. I have already got a taste of the higher prices. I live alone. I did some shopping Friday and spent $55 for mostly just basic foods, no meat or anything spendy. And I went to a discount store so I wasn't paying high prices. I had just spent $101.00 just two weeks ago so there I spent $155 in just over two weeks on groceries. I have to go back tomorrow to buy the things I need to make an egg casserole for our church for Sunday, so there will go another $30 probably. Whooeeee!!! I guess the old saying "easy come easy go" still stands.
