Belle, it is not gonna come to that kind of living this time...Too much money out there.(and majority do not know how, or do not have the means) They have all been moved to 'town' and farms not operating...they could not live...Something will be worked out but it will be tough on honest hard working folks for a long time, those who are striving to raise a family on nothing but a job, and minimal payday.....you know in the 1930's depression,Roosevelt(the Gov.) bought up a lot of the houses...and the people were allowed to stay in their homes, with much smaller payments adjusted rates etc...and the government actually came out fine and ahead, but there is no comparison now....Too many institutions lending corporations,and banks and finance companies now...and this global commerce is all wrapped up in it. My husband used to say,(thirty years ago) it will get to where if you 'spit' it will be held against you in China". You know...we used the country of China in a lot of expressions before we even knew what China was...guess we always knew it was 'far off' or something...like the old song, that I loved in high school......"slow Boat To China" .
