    3. Stella, every word you said was exactly right. I don't understand this either, but when I was called to help, I went. I met some wonderful workers there who I will always call my friends. I probably won't go again because of my age. I am still absolutely worn out physically. I saw people, this time, who were USING the Red Cross and other agencies to get money and food, and we found out that they were not even living in the shelter where we were in Jackson, Mississippi, They lived just down the street from the shelter! Some were living with a cousin across town and coming to the shelter to eat. Each meal, morning-noon-and night, that we provided cost the Red Cross $6.50. We could not turn anybody away! Of course, there were some who were in pitiful shape financially. If your house was on/near the beach, like some in Galveston, WHY would you want to rebuild in the same place... for the next storm to cause destruction again??? Theres a lot that I don't understand either. But then, I guess I'm not supposed to. Now I feel like need to rest for another week, at least!
