    1. [SOUTHERN-CHAT] First Day of Fall, huh ?
    2. I heard a newscaster say it was the first day of Fall, which I hadn't even suspected until she said something...and I could have done without that reminder.....Folks warble on about the cool crisp days of Fall being such a joy after putting up with all that hot humid Summer weather....DON'T THOSE FOLKS REALIZE THAT WINTER FOLLOWS ON THE HEELS OF FALL ? Younger people may have a reason to enjoy Fall, because time hasn't gone into warp speed like it has for my age group..... Beans are hanging everywhere down in the garden, theres still apples on the tree....but the goldenrod is in full flower and the beautiful deep purple and dusty rose Fall asters are beginning to bloom.......great swaths of Spanish Needle hug fence rows, and the purple/blue of Ageratum spreads across damp pastures....Oh yes, the Autumn flowers are a blooming...Sigh.....Only one blessing in all this...time passes so fast winter will soon be gone, and my beloved Spring is right around the corner ! I raked up piles of windfall apples today, and peeled lots of them to put in the freezer for cold times....I took some of them with me when I took Buzz back to his Mom, and Grandson John used them to bake his first apple pie since he was a little boy....He and Amber were great at helping me in the kitchen...Buzz isn't quite as helpful...the boy tastes so often theres little left for the pot. One day he helped me snap beans, and decided they tasted so good raw there was no need to cook them ! I miss that boy..............Jeannie T ____________________________________________________________ Criminal Lawyers - Click here. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/Ioyw6i3oGdgrZFmUtXoz4d2jzSWzwxE2spgseszMgURPATIvaKF4aG/
