    3. You are welcome, Paulette, and Judy for the info about Dollar General prices . I had never shopped at one of their stores until I moved here in the apartment. The store is a block away.My daughter bought dog food there, but I am a nut about where things come from, and USA products Our situation in this country, might be grim at times, with contaminated products or E-Coli...but I still trust our laws and regulations a little better than other countries.I will call the companies or get it online if a date is not on things. You can give them the number above the bar code, or on top of a can, etc, and they tell you exactly when, where that product was packaged.I would not buy canned goods just because they are "cheap" in price...in fact I always go for better name brands...even at higher cost, but I trust a family owned tomato growing place like the Red Gold Company in In.. You can call their 800 number or email them with any question. They sent me a letter of thanks for calling them.Company dates back for years and years..And too, as I said...I found out through studies that tomatoes are good for several things...like our hearts, arteries etc. So...I try to use a lot of tomato sauce.Tomato paste has less sodium, etc in it, but doesn't have the seasonings that the sauce has. I am putting my dried rosemary in zip lock bags and in jars too, today.I have been drying it for quite a while. Still have too much growth out there to go into spring with. Sure wish all of you had a dozen long sprigs of it! I already did some dill weed, lemon thyme and mint.My pot of mint dies down to dry stems in the winter so I have to save it dry.I have a small dish in each room , like potppori...just crush with fingers as you are passing through, .I love the smell of it. I stopped at the store for a minute yesterday to get some get-well greeting cards...and thought to tell you...Dollar General has pretty cards 2 for 1.00 that really seem as good as paying 3.95 at the store. I know...to certain occasions you might want to send a Hallmark, or whatever...but I got 12 cards. Afraid they will be marked up, too.Stamps are going to continue to increase in price...you can count on that. We are definitely facing a recession...if not a depression.I also added some more cleaning products to my stash. I have very sensitive skin (to detergents). It costs a lot, but I buy Seventh Generation. clothes washing detergent. It is all natural.I think you all know more about me than my family does!1 lol Gotta get back to my rat killing...happy shopping ---as Paulete said, ,no harm done in getting it while we can, .we can always use it. As for me...with four daughters that only live for today...they may be crying "Wolf" one of these days and running to "Mama".But I always look out for Little Nick too...Ya'll remember him. Stella
