I do know of MerleTravis... is he not the one that came up with a specific finger pickin' technique that is famous? my relatives are also from N.C....Duplin/Sampson counties and some Coharie Indian. Also.... I have Smith kin from Clarksville. From what I've heard,,, I'm related to just about every Smith in that area.
