Belle, I am sure you felt the love of friends and family, as they supported you during this time...the prayers are for the family, to ask God to help them with the strength and with the healing process to go on living, and I also pray that you will, sincerely open your heart and mind, look for the understanding of why these things are happening, and in such a widespread, rampant fashion today, and see these terrible things that are befalling all of us, today.Barely any family is without a grave situation, No human alive, on earth today is exempt from these happenings..and no prayer can change that, but pray for the purpose that God first set for the first human couple that he put on the earth, a good place to find what happened, of course is to really study the book of Genesis if you believe in creation and if you believe that the Bible writers were inspired by God, to be written and preserved all these years.You will not find any scripture from Genesis through Revelation where He changed his mind, on his purpose for mankind. And you might ask,why didn't he just strike satan dead, when he challenged God,, by deceiving the first couple with his lie...(Jesus called satan the father of the lie) but there was all the angelic family looking on, and anyone of them, or hundreds of them, could have always done the same thing..rebelled and cause this same trouble over and over, it was settled once and for all, in the Garden of Eden, I trust the all knowing God, that he knew what he was doing, after all, who knows mankind better than He? There has always been on earth, people who love and obey him, and look at him as the sovereign God, that he is, and he deserves our obedience.That's all He asked of Adam and Eve...he gave them the whole earth, and all it's goodness...just leave off one tree of food, to show they loved and obeyed him as their maker. He instilled in them the desire to worship, we all have that trait. Taking in knowledge, and seeking what God requires of us is really the first step..if your heart is open to him, he lets you find him, it is only through that, not from anything me or anyone else can say to you, Oh we can act as the messenger, and point out what we have learned, or experienced, ... but the right heart condition is required..Paul said 'This mean everlasting life...their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God" So I will continue to pray for his will to be done and that all who are living today, that love him, as Jesus loved us, will not perish but have everlasting life.His wish according to the Bible is that none be lost, but it tells of the greater number, going down because they have rejected God's Kingdom, that Jesus taught us to pray for. well I may get kicked off the list, but I am not "preaching"for any reason,other than I love you, as Jesus said love one another, and love your neighbor. Dear Stella, You are a very good and gracious lady to take the time to write me such a sincere and honest letter. I do appreciate it very much. My kin in Georgia hardly acknowleged the fact that he was ill. His daughters in California came over to see him once before he died. I think they loved him but they said little to me. I wish I could accept things that others have said and what you have written as well. I have had so much tragedy in my family I have a hard time believing there is anyone or anything that was around to help. I've felt I was on my own and had to handle it on my own. Every day as I watch my terribly handicapped grandaughter, I wonder how a loving God could let it happen. I think of the many others in her condition, of the war deaths and injuries, the flood and fire victims who no doubt have been praying to a God they believe in but doesn't seem to hear. I'm a hard headed old gal with extreme doubts about much that I've been told. I suppose you will cross me off your list but I have to be honest.
