Hello, Many things in this Las Vegas Valley area are way overpriced, especially the homes, condos, etc. The developers have a problem in supplyin g gas, power and especially water to the folks. They should not allow any more homes to be built until they can solve the water problem. Our home would be valued at about $65,000 to $75,000 in normal times, say the 1960's but it is in the much overvalued bracket of the $250,000 and more. We did lots of upgrades on appliances, carpet, electrical wiring, cable, plumbling fixtures, etc. Gas log fireplace, automatic irrigation system which is worth the cost. As for cost of groceries, etc. everything has to be trucked in so one can expect to pay more for food, supplies, etc. We have been able to cover everything so far but I don't know what may happen if things continue to rise. One thinks they are in good shape with Social Security, pension, savings and good health Insurance, then the costs go up and up and up. I no longer drive so I don't have the cost of the upkeep of a vehicle. I probably won't be around much longer but I am concerned about my daughter being able to keep things going. I have insurance but that will go just so far. The only sure way to stop the rise in price of an article is for enouh people would stop buying it and NO SALES soon gets the atention of the merchants and distributors Best to you all. Belle
