Hi Mary Clyde and All...I can certainly feel for you. I have four daughters, and a granddaughter and a grandson living here..and others within two hours.BUT... I had to find a friend to take me to pick up my car from the shop. I never hear from my granddaughter now...back "When" I had a job, a bigger house, and I guess, spent more money, they were always around. After my back surgeries...I can't keep babies too well so I don't get called..I am not bitter or sad about it...I keep busy, but I gave my family every spare minute and all my sacrifices was for them, and now a days things are different...they do not have a minute to spare. The younger generation, does not make too many personal sacrifices it seems to me.But I pray they will all be happy and turn out to be good citizens, and know how to take care of themselves. Stella
Stella, and Mary Clyde ! I know just how you feel.... You know in the Bible when God told Abraham to get up and go into the country he was sending Him.. Abraham took his father "Tara" and all his Aunts and Uncles.. Lot was his Nephew.. You sure don`t see that now.. My youngest son said Mom you`ll never have to go to an old folks home BUT he and his wife put his mother inlaw into a old folks home the other day.. Things arent the way there suppose to be are they ?? Stella, I have not gotten use to this yet. My husband passed away last September. Everyone is around. Then you are by yourself. One daughter lives in Portland. The other a few blocks away. I see them probably 3 times a week. They are great to me but I do not like being by myself. Judy Stella Roper wrote: > Hi Mary Clyde and All...I can certainly feel for you.
