    3. Bobby, I still have the old kerosene lamp that we were using when I was about 5 years old... and probably before that... I just can't remember. I also have the Aladdin lamp that used to sit in the middle of our round dining room table so that we could study our school lessons. I don't know when we got that one but I do know that we were using it when my sister died and I was 9 at that time. We were always very careful with that one because of the mantle and the globe. The light that came from that lamp was just about as bright as one of our modern day light bulbs. I wouldn't part with that lamp for anything!!
