Awhile ago I saw this recipe where you take your pan of brownies, spread peanut butter over them, then spread melted chocolate chips over that. . . WELL, I was spreading the peanut butter while the chocolate melted, AND, you guessed it... I turned around and the chocolate had started smoking!!! I mean smoke was billowing out of the microwave. I jerked that sucker out of there and ran to the back door and left it out on the deck. Of course the kitchen smelled awful by that time... so, I turned on the exhaust fan and in no time flat most of that awful odor was gone. I've probably gotten used to the smell by now... bet it I'd go outside for a little while I'd still be able to smell it when I came back in. I don't know how I get myself into some of the situations that I do. Learned a lesson though... don't turn your back on the chocolate... MaryClyde
