I don't think I've seen anybody on here for several days... Is everybody out in the garden or gone on vacation? My garden is producing a few green beans and some squash... but that's all. We don't seem to have any bees!!! I just simply cannot pollinate those blossoms with a paintbrush! Lol... I'll probably end up buying vegetables from the farmer's market if I plan to can any and I sure would like to can as many as I can get... We're still in a severe drought and can't water! Are any of you in the flood areas down the middle of our country? What about the fires in California? What is this world coming to? MaryClyde

Mary Clyde, I'm here and I did put a couple of posts in but they didn't seem to go anywhere. I can't see well so no doubt I must have hit the wrong key. I do that often. I have a hard time keeping up with the news as I don't hear well, either. The fast and garbled delivery by some of the newscasters simply escapes me so I can't keep up with what is going on. One of the problems of old age. I'm sorry your garden isn't doing well. This time of year is great for gardens if they have the proper water,etc. Too much water in some places and not near enough in others. Hellloooooooo mary clyde..... I'm still down here in the sweltering heat.... whew, it's hot. My heat resistant maters are doing ok so far. I sure could go for a batch of homegrown beans.... of any sort. Dad has pole beans up in NW Indiana. Just about have him convinced to send me a couple of green onions before they are all gone. Right now, we're all placing our bets on a date for the first named hurricane - coffee and doughnut is the prize.
