    1. [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Muscadine time........
    2. We used to pick Muscadines throughout the woods and off the sides of the dirt road that went by our log house.....Since we climbed like monkeys it wasn't a problem for us to shinny up a tree...We didn't have to worry about pollution from passing traffic, since the only thing that ever traveled that road was the mailman , and once in awhile the peddler man in his old flivver....Mama made the hulls into jam and the inner part was cooked and seeded and made into jam.... Our neighbor has an enormous Muscadine vine but it never has fruit...Needs a pollinator, probably...I ought to plant some seed and hope one turns out to be the right sex to pollinate it....The elderly folks who own the property had a place on KY Lake and may have brought the vine home from there....I'm really looking forward to buying some of these 'grapes' at Wal Mart.....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ____________________________________________________________ Click here to find a huge selection of computer desks & furniture. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/Ioyw6i3nZ3ibgmMJQ68IPsPqO8aDwz8t6mlyEOkBUF7G70LYkFnXLM/

    3. You reminded me of when I made grape juice. I did it the lazy way. I found a recipe where you put the grapes into the jar, covered with the water mixture, and it made juice in the jar. I didn't have to mash the grapes and make the juice the regular way. The juice was good but awfully sweet.
