The list is very quiet. Are ya'll busy with gardening, freezing food, other lists, or just staying outside a lot? I do not do other lists, except my genealogy surname, county, and state lists. We are under the gun here in Alabama, Fay seems to like us!. I may have to unplug my webby later...tornadoes coming through. We are sure saturated ! They say we could get another six inches of rain today.I sure hope this doesn't get the late crops of peas and beans but it probably will. The farmers I buy from, had all planted late crops because the produce has really sold well this year. I bought me a 7.5 foot freezer last week, because I was storing stuff in everyone's freezers.I am sure enjoying it so far.I let my big upright go with the house when I sold it...and in this apartment, I couldn't have a large one...but I didn't want the small 5.0 ft one either. I have put up 19 bags of different kinds of peas,mostly purple hulls, and 22 bags of colored limas (butterbeans here in the south)Seven bags green snap beans, 11 bags of squash.Three bags of vegetable soup.Made fig and peach preserves, and plum jelly.Made dill pickles but gave them away. I love fooling with vegetables. Also love eating them!.Let me hear from ya'll as to what you did this summer. Hope none of you are in floods. Stella

I had a large 22 cu ft chest freezer until I sold my house after my husband died. After I bought my mobile home, I decided I HAD to have a freezer again so I bought a 12 cu ft chest freezer. Still I never kept it full but I had more than the freezer in my refrigerator could hold. When I moved to the apt, all I have is the one in my refrigerator. I sure miss my chest freezer. I would never keep it full but there are times when I need more than what my refrigerator one will hold. I know where to go if I get hungry this winter.
