Lee, You are right about that. The school systems seems to let the kids go through school and 'graduate' without knowing how to write their own name so that it can be read.Good 'penmanship was required in my school days. The Palmer method was taught in my school days. I did well, ending up with good handwriting. In November 1966 when our new Sears opened n Costa Mesa, Calif. I was asked to hand address the over 100 special invitations to the VIP's in the area for the opening. The boss liked my handwriting. Many of the good things of the past have fallen by the wayside, what a shame. The quality of life has certainly not improved, regardless of what is considered necessary these days. My opinnion.
